A Letter from the Pastor

September is here and later in the month fall officially begins.  Even though we do not have the dramatic seasonal change that our northern neighbors experience, there are many things that we look forward to in this season.  Fall brings us football, hunting, fresh peanuts, Thanksgiving, and Advent.  I understand also that for some of our ladies it is shopping season until Christmas.  The list could go on for a while with all of the great fall activities in which we can get involved.

Being Methodist gives us an opportunity to experience Charge Conference in the fall of the year.  This year our Charge Conference will be held on November 15th at 5:30 pm in our sanctuary.  Not everyone looks forward to Charge Conference; however, it gives us opportunity to evaluate the year and refocus our vision for the next year.

I am especially looking forward to the building of our Costa Rica Mission Team over the next two months.  I have asked you to be praying about your involvement with the mission trip.  On September 13th at 6:00 pm;, we will be having an informational meeting for the purpose of aiding you in determining how you can get involved.  This meeting is for everyone that wants to participate in any aspect of the 2010 Costa Rica Mission Trip.  I hope to see you there and may you go with God as we move forward into fall.
