Sorau Sorroto lives in Africa with his wife and baby. He is attending a Christian Seminary to become an ordained minister. He helped out at the United Methodist Conference in Africa during December 2004 and forwarded pictures to us that were taken during that conference. We are posting those pictures here to share them with you.
Hartford First United Methodist Church raised the money to help pay for his schooling. Please keep Sorau, his family and his church in your prayers as he will be graduating from Africa University in June 2009 then continuing his work and studies in Ministry. |

Letter from Africa University Dear Rev. Cook and the First Church Family We are very pleased to report to you that the recipient of your direct scholarship, Respeito Sorrota Sorau of Mozambique, has successfully complete his degree requirements and will graduate on June 6, 2009, having earned his Bachelor of Business Studies degree in management. Last Friday we received the 2009 student yearbook in electronic form, and we were delighted to see Respeito pictures and profiled. We are forwarding to you under separate cover copies of the relevant pages for your reading pleasure. We cannot thank you enough for continuing to believe in the future of Africa University and in the worth of its mission and for making it possible for Respeito to realize his dreams in the Valley of Hope. PEACE! Elaine Jenkins Director of Planned Giving Africa University Development Office P. O. Box 24007 Nashville, TN 37203-007
