Rene's House Finished and Dedicated July 2008
To All:
Remember Rene Segura. That is the young man that I met while living in Guatemala. Rene was electrocuted and both arms and legs had to be amputated.
In 1997, he was brought to the Shriners hospital in Tampa for rehabilitation with prosthesis. After that he started to school at the age of 14 with less then
a first grade education. Now is attending his fourth semester in college. He and his family had very poor living conditions and in 2002, a project was started
to build the family a home. This project was completed and these pictures are from the dedication services last Tuesday, July 22nd. This project was completed
only by God directing many wonderful people in the United States and Guatemala. I express my sincere appreciation to all who gave us that encouragement
and support. If anyone would like a CD with pictures of Rene or the houses, please contact the church office, I will be glad to mail you copies.
Sincerely, Robert Byrd
